Week 3 of the SLL made you question whether this was football or rugby by the scoreline.
SRC faced Footy Addicts in the first fixture of Week 2 at Streatham Vale which threw up a storm. Although the scoreline ended 8-3 for SRC, you would not have guessed it as both teams had an equal number of opportunities.
Ultimately, Footy Addicts suffered from a lack of cohesion and poor work rate which SRC were happy to capitalise on whenever they were able force mistakes by the opposition.
Poor shooting or poor goalkeeping?
This is probably the question I was left with when looking back at last week as it was clear to see Footy Addicts had the quality to threaten but SRC showed how clinical their forwards are when presented with gifts.

Carpe Assembled are the team to watch
We really enjoy watching Carpe Assembled when they step foot on Streatham Vale Park as their philosophy and energy make their games full of moments of brilliance and excitement.
Pana FC faced Carpe Assembled and were given a shock at how much pressure they were under in the first half. Before they knew it, it was an uphill battle and chasing a 3-0 deficit. An absolute stunner of a volley by Jay brought the game back and a penalty made it 3-2 within moments and the game truly turned on it’s head.
Unable to keep the momentum, the game shifted again into Carpe Assembled’s favour and they were able to make their counter attacks stick and extended their lead further.
The match ended 8-3 in Carpe Assembled’s favour and surely have gained confidence that they can make a statement this season and proved they are a match for anybody and everybody! Pana FC have more work ahead and look to make amends next week against SRC which surely will an entertaining one.
