Too much sauce

Reggae Boyz faced Carpe Assembled in the return fixture from their opening game where Carpe Assembled were destroyed 7-1.

Reggae Boyz fielded a much different side which shows how confident they are in going the season undefeated. It was clear to see as they were not as slick in their passing and the combinations were not coming off as well as they usually do but Carpe Assembled were unable to stamp their authority and make their early sloppiness pay.

Soon Reggae Boyz got into their groove and they broke the deadlock which was followed by another 3 goals to make the game 4-0 with plenty of time left in the game.

Carpe Assembled although young, are one of the more entertaining 7 a side teams in this year’s South London League as they play in a similar fashion to Reggae Boyz. But as they have shown throughout this season, when going toe to toe with dominating the ball, there is usually only one outcome and Carpe Assembled never really showed that they can have a plan B when things are not going their way.

Resurgence?

Maybe Reggae Boyz dropped off the pace but Carpe Assembled came into life during the second half and were a constant threat and managed to pull back 2 goals in the dying moments which gave Reggae Boyz a scare but remain composed to see out the game 4-2.

Carpe Assembled will be sure to learn their lessons quickly as they face 2nd placed El Rafico in a bid to go back to winning ways.
