Pana fc vs SRC

Final week of the season absolute blinders in both games. First off we had Pana FC face SRC with both looking to end their turbulent season on a high. SRC have found form towards the back end of the season and have proven a tough opponent for literally every single team and Pana FC would have had to pull out an exceptional performance to get anything from the game.

It looked that way when Pana FC were 3-2 up with 3 minutes remaining and SRC’s new signing, Daniel stepped up to the plate and created two magical moments to win the game in 4-3 in the dying moments of the contest. Pana FC will rue their missed chances which would have killed off the game which has been a theme throughout the season and could not wait to see the back of this season to regroup ahead of next season.

SRC on the other hand cannot wait for the new season to start and for sure will look to build on their strong end to the season.

El rafico vs Reggae Boyz

Although Reggae Boyz had won the league already by this point, there was no way you could turn your head with both sides looking to win out of sheer pride and bragging rights. The two teams have been chirping at each other throughout the season to get a mental edge ahead of this fixture and we were rewarded with one of the best games of the season.

Reggae Boyz assumed their usual control and were able to establish a lead but with El Rafico constantly threatening, the tie could change at any point. El Rafico found themselves 4-1 down with 10 minutes to go and then new signing, Pharell stepped onto the field…

A pop shot against the run of play made the game 4-2 followed by another solo effort to make it 4-3. With 5 minutes to go, tensions were boiling, Reggae Boyz trying to manage the game by slowing the pace down and the referee struggling to maintain control meant that everyone’s temperament was tested!

A roll of the dice moment and El Rafico ditched their one at the back formation and threw everything at Reggae Boyz and the final goal, easily the best of the tournament to make the game 4-4 and prevent Reggae Boyz winning 10 out of 10 games will go down in South London League’s history!
